Subject: ARTISTS RIFLES RoH
Subject: ARTISTS RIFLES RoH
An excellent resource for those interested in this famous British Regiment which was formed in 1860 by volunteers who were painters and poets. Not only are the 15,000+ soldiers named from WW1, but the 2,003 members who lost their lives are listed. The Artists Rifles was an officer producing unit (OTC) and supplied over 10,000 officers for every unit in the British Army and 800+ to the RFC/ RAF -(Royal Flying Corp/ Royal Air Force) in 1918. The history of the regiment is also told in detail . The Artists Rifles name continues today with the British Army Reserve Regiment 21st SAS ( Artists Rifles) . ..Eddie Jones Facebook: The Trench Experience Artists Rifles Collection
